The FCT City Boy Movement has applauded its leadership for driving youth inclusion and creating platforms for young people to take part in governance and nation-building.
In a statement on Sunday, the Deputy Director of the movement, Comrade Mukhtar Akoshile, commended the Director, Hon. Bitrus Lawrence, for what he described as “sincere leadership and efforts toward strengthening the movement.”
Akoshile, who speaks for Abuja residents under the group’s youth structure, said the Director’s work has been instrumental in securing an operational office in the Federal Capital Territory. According to him, the new edifice will serve as a hub for coordination, engagement, and capacity building for young members of the movement.
He also extended appreciation to Barrister Seyi Tinubu, citing his “progressive vision on youth inclusion” as a driving force behind the movement’s current momentum.
Reaffirming the group’s commitment to the Youth Inclusion Project, Akoshile said the movement is focused on ensuring young people move beyond token representation into real roles in leadership and decision-making.
“Youth inclusion must move from conversations to concrete action,” Akoshile stated. “Through the Director’s efforts, we now have a structure on ground in the FCT to train, organize, and deploy young people for nation-building.”
The FCT City Boy Movement says it will, in the coming weeks, roll out programs aimed at skills development, political education, and community engagement for youths across the six area councils of Abuja.
