The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA, Engr. Chukwuemeka Agbasi, has participated in the Federal Appointees Strategic Summit convened by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.
The summit, which held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 in Abuja, brought together Ministers, Special Advisers, Chairmen and Chief Executive Officers of federal agencies to review and take stock of programmes, policies and achievements across Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs.
In a statement on his participation, Engr. Agbasi said the session provides a valuable platform to assess progress, consider emerging priorities, and examine how effectively public resources are being translated into tangible results.
According to him, the engagement aligns with the Federal Government’s mandate under the Renewed Hope Administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The SGF, Senator George Akume, who convened the summit, had charged federal appointees to intensify efforts in communicating the achievements and impact of the administration to Nigerians in clear and accessible terms.
Akume noted that the summit was not designed to evaluate or judge individual appointees, but to take stock of what has been achieved by each Ministry and Agency and how those achievements are influencing the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
Engr. Agbasi reaffirmed FERMA’s commitment to the Renewed Hope agenda through improved maintenance of federal roads nationwide.
