FERMA MD Charges Engineers On Professionalism, Innovation in Road Maintenance

The Managing Director of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA, Engr. Chukwuemeka Agbasi, has urged Federal Road Maintenance Engineers nationwide to uphold professionalism, innovation and accountability in the discharge of their duties.

Agbasi gave the charge on Thursday at the agency’s Second Quarter Meeting with Federal Road Maintenance Engineers from across the country.

He said the meeting provided an opportunity to review operational performance, evaluate emerging priorities and align strategies to strengthen road maintenance and preserve Nigeria’s federal road assets.

According to him, the efforts are in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for road infrastructure development.

“I encouraged our engineers to remain steadfast in upholding the highest standards of professionalism, innovation and accountability as we continue to enhance service delivery,” Agbasi stated.

The FERMA boss said the agency’s collective focus remains on building a more resilient road maintenance system that meets the expectations of Nigerians and supports the nation’s infrastructure development goals.

He reaffirmed the commitment of FERMA to ensuring that federal roads across the country are kept motorable and safe for users.
