The Managing Director of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA, Chukwuemeka Agbasi, has charged directors and heads of departments to deepen discipline, collaboration and results-driven leadership as the agency works to deliver on its mandate.
Agbasi disclosed this following a meeting with Directors, Heads of Departments and Heads of Units at the FERMA Headquarters in Abuja. The engagement, according to him, was convened to review the agency’s Second Quarter performance, align strategic priorities and reinforce accountability across all levels.
He said the review was necessary to strengthen institutional performance and ensure that FERMA continues to deliver effective road maintenance while preserving Nigeria’s federal road assets.
The FERMA boss emphasized that the agency’s operations must align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that well-maintained federal roads are central to national productivity, mobility and economic growth.
“Building on our Second Quarter performance review engagements across the Agency, I convened this meeting to review our performance, align strategic priorities, and reinforce accountability across all levels of the Agency,” Agbasi stated.
He urged management staff to prioritize disciplined execution and teamwork in project delivery, adding that the agency will not compromise on standards in the maintenance and rehabilitation of federal roads nationwide
