Veteran Nollywood actor, Shashi Kapoor has shared a startling encounter with Fuji music star, King Saheed Osupa, describing the singer as far from gentle but a very gallant man with spiritual fortification.
Kapoor made the revelation while speaking on the Agbaletu Podcast anchored by Deji Adeyanju, when he was asked if the prominent Fuji musician was a gentle fellow.
Responding to the question, the actor recounted an incident that occurred years ago during a show they both had with Saheed Osupa.
According to him, some area boys stormed the venue to extort and chase everyone away.
> “I could remember that year we had a show with Saheed Osupa and some area boys came around to obtain and chase everyone away,” Kapoor said.
He narrated that while everyone fled and hid, Osupa did the unexpected.
> “All of a sudden Saheed Osupa took off his shirt and faced those thugs. We were watching from where we hid and we saw one of the thugs raised matchet up and the guy became stiff with his matchet up in the air. It was as if we were watching movie that very night.”
Kapoor further described the Fuji icon in local parlance, saying Osupa truly has spiritual backing.
> “Saheed Osupa truly has ‘Fra and Ogba for head’. But because he’s now rich and getting old, I guess more reason why he’s becoming more calmer. Saheed Osupa nah really werey, he doesn’t need any bodyguard protection, he’s very gallant.”
