The Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency, Ayo Fayose, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to speeding up access to reliable and sustainable electricity through renewable-energy solutions.
Fayose made the declaration on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the official launch of the Renewable Energy Asset Management Company, RAMCO, held at Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.
Describing RAMCO as a strategic initiative, the REA Chairman said the company is designed to strengthen Nigeria’s renewable-energy ecosystem, attract investment, and ensure the effective management and long-term sustainability of clean-energy assets across the country.
He stressed that achieving the government’s energy goals will require stronger collaboration among government institutions, private-sector investors, and other stakeholders.
“The focus is on delivering inclusive and dependable electricity to underserved communities,” Fayose said.
The launch of RAMCO, according to him, underscores the Federal Government’s renewed drive to deepen the deployment of renewable energy and advance Nigeria’s transition toward a more resilient and sustainable power sector.
Officials at the event said RAMCO will play a central role in managing renewable-energy assets and improving accountability in the sector as Nigeria works to close its electricity access gap.
