The leadership of the PBAT Door2Door Movement on Tuesday paid a courtesy and thank-you visit to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Ph.D., GCON, at his residence in Abuja.
The delegation was led by the National Coordinator of the Movement, Hon. Comr. Sunday Adekanbi Asuku, and included National and Zonal officials of the group.
The Speaker received the delegation in the company of the House Leader, the Deputy Minority Whip, and the Chairman, House Committee on South-South Development Commission, among other members of his entourage.
Speaking during the engagement, Asuku conveyed the appreciation of the Founder and Grand Patron of the Movement, High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, GOC, for the Speaker’s presence and address at the Movement’s historic inauguration. He said the Speaker’s speech was “powerful and inspiring.”
Asuku also restated the Movement’s vision and its focus on grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In his response, Speaker Abbas commended the PBAT Door2Door Movement for its commitment to grassroots mobilisation and for its stated determination to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in 2027. He urged the leadership and members to “remain focused and steadfast” in pursuing their objectives.
As part of the visit, the Speaker was crowned an Ambassador of the PBAT Door2Door Movement in recognition of his support and identification with the group’s activities.
Asuku thanked the Speaker and his team for the warm reception, encouragement, and continued support.
