Joaquin Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has congratulated Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the just concluded governorship election, describing it as “well-deserved” and a reflection of the governor’s connection with the people.
In a statement issued on Sunday On Port Harcourt Force Facebook Page, Wike said the renewed mandate shows that residents of Osun State have once again placed their confidence in Adeleke’s leadership.
“A massive congratulations to Governor Ademola Adeleke on this well-deserved victory in the Osun State governorship election,” the statement read. “Your resilience, dedication, and undeniable connection with the people have once again spoken volumes.”
Wike noted that the new term comes with “renewed expectations for greater development, improved infrastructure, economic growth, and better opportunities for the people of the state.”
He prayed for the governor as he begins another chapter in office.
“As Governor Adeleke begins another chapter in office, we wish him wisdom, strength, and success in delivering on his promises and advancing the interests of Osun State,” he said.
The statement also acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what it described as ensuring a “free and fair contest” in the election.
Wike further gave a “special shout-out” to music star Davido, Adeleke’s nephew, for his support during the campaign.
“A special shout-out to Davido for the massive support, unwavering love, and energy throughout the journey. Your presence and support for your uncle were truly remarkable, and you showed up in a major way,” he stated.
He concluded by calling the outcome “a victory worth celebrating” and expressed hope that the new term would bring “even greater success, impact, and progress for the people of Osun State.
